Methacrylated Hyaluronic Acid (HAMA)
Description
Hyaluronic acid (HA) is an essential component of the human extracellular matrix, playing key physiological roles in water retention, maintenance of extracellular space, osmotic regulation, lubrication, and promotion of tissue repair. HA has been approved by the FDA and is widely used in biomedical applications due to its excellent biocompatibility and safety profile. HAMA is a photosensitive polymer obtained by modifying HA with methacrylic anhydride (MA). With outstanding biocompatibility and simple curing behavior, HAMA has been extensively applied in 2D/3D cell culture, drug delivery, tissue‑engineering constructs, cartilage regeneration, wound dressings, biosensors, and anti‑adhesion barriers.
Our HAMA can be used in combination with o‑nitrobenzyl–modified polymers such as PEGNB and HANB. In the presence of a photoinitiator (e.g., NAP), light exposure rapidly triggers polymerization and crosslinking, forming high‑strength hydrogels within seconds. It can also be blended with methacrylated polymers such as CMCMA and GelMA, as well as acrylate‑modified polymers such as PEGDA, enabling the construction of hydrogels with diverse physicochemical properties.
Product Advantages
• High Batch Consistency Produced through standardized manufacturing processes to ensure that different batches of HAMA exhibit highly reproducible and controllable composition, physicochemical properties, and biological performance.
• Ultra‑High Purity A proprietary production process effectively removes methacrylic acid and other small‑molecule impurities, achieving extremely low impurity levels and ensuring safety in biomedical applications.
• Low Endotoxin Levels Manufactured under strict quality standards, the product features ultra‑low endotoxin content suitable for sensitive applications, providing users with a more advanced and reliable experience.
• Proven Safety Our HAMA undergoes rigorous biocompatibility evaluation and is confirmed to be safe and non‑toxic, helping researchers accelerate experimental progress.
• High Stability Stability and accelerated aging studies demonstrate that our HAMA maintains consistent quality under recommended storage conditions.
• Professional Packaging HAMA is packaged using professional‑grade materials to ensure product stability during transportation and storage.
