Description
PrimeIAmp™ HotStart Bst DNA/RNA Basic & SYBR Green LyoMix, meticulously developed by SBS Genetech, is designed for LAMP amplification and is universally compatible with both DNA and RNA target detection. Built upon a fast and highly tolerant Bst DNA/RNA polymerase, it delivers stable, rapid, and highly sensitive amplification. With the integration of HotStart technology, false-positive rates are significantly reduced.
Additionally, the reagent features a proprietary lyophilized formulation that enhances its versatility—enabling both routine research applications and seamless integration into lyophilized product development and manufacturing workflows using a unified formulation.
HotStart Bst DNA/RNA polymerase incorporates a thermostable aptamer that inhibits enzyme activity by more than 90% below 30 °C, with complete activity released within 1 minute above 60 °C. This enables convenient room temperature setup and dramatically reduces nonspecific amplification under low-temperature conditions.
This reagent supports a wide array of LAMP-based detection methods, including SYBR Green, Molecular Beacon probes, DP-LAMP probes, and colorimetric detection.

Storage
- For long-term storage, keep the product at –20 °C or below (stable for up to 18 months). The reagent can withstand up to 10 freeze–thaw cycles without performance loss, though repeated freeze–thawing should be avoided when possible. For short-term use, storage at 2–8 °C is recommended, where the product remains stable for up to 2 weeks. Due to the high concentration of lyophilization excipients, a small amount of white insoluble material may be observed upon thawing; this will fully dissolve after 3–5 minutes at 30 °C (or by warming in the palm), without affecting product performance.
- SYBR Green dye is photosensitive and prone to degradation. Protect from light during storage and use. The recommended final concentration is 0.75×.
Precautions
- This product contains a high concentration of salts. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) should be worn to avoid contact with skin, eyes, nose, and respiratory tract. In case of accidental contact or inhalation, rinse immediately with plenty of water.
- To minimize the risk of aerosol contamination, operations should be conducted in separate designated areas whenever possible.
