Description

The unique lysis solution rapidly disrupts cells and deactivates cellular RNAases. The plant RNA aid, PLANTaid, facilitates the binding of polysaccharides and polyphenols, which are then removed by centrifugation. Subsequently, after adjusting binding conditions with ethanol, RNA selectively binds to the silica membrane within the centrifuge column under high salt conditions. Following a series of rapid wash and centrifugation steps, protein and wash solutions remove cellular metabolites, proteins, and other impurities. Finally, pure RNA is eluted from the silica membrane using low-salt RNase-free H2O.
