Acryloyl‑Modified RGD Peptide (RGDfk‑AA)
Description
The RGD peptide (arginine–glycine–aspartic acid sequence) binds specifically to multiple integrins and provides essential adhesion sites for cells. Our acryloyl‑modified RGD peptide (RGDfk‑AA) is a photosensitive, polymerizable bioactive peptide obtained by introducing acryloyl groups onto the RGD motif. It is designed for use with photocrosslinkable biomacromolecules containing vinyl groups or o‑nitrobenzyl (NB) functionalities—such as HAMA, AlgMA, F127DA, PEGNB, and HANB.
Under photoinitiated conditions, RGDfk‑AA can participate in copolymerization and network crosslinking, enabling efficient incorporation of cell‑adhesive functionality into hydrogel matrices. This significantly enhances the cell affinity and biological performance of the resulting materials, making it highly suitable for tissue engineering, 3D bioprinting, and advanced biofabrication applications.
