Description
M-MLV SIII Reverse Transcriptase is the third generation of M-MLV reverse transcriptase obtained through genetic modification and recombinant technology. This enzyme, in comparison to the wild-type M-MLV reverse transcriptase, has eliminated RNase H activity and significantly improved thermal stability (optimal reaction temperature at 50°C). As a result, there is a substantial increase in specificity and length when synthesizing the first strand cDNA (up to 18 kb), and enhanced tolerance to the complex secondary structures of RNA.

Enzyme Activity Unit Definition
Under 37°C conditions, using Poly(A)-Oligo(dT) as a template/primer, the enzyme quantity required to incorporate 1 nmol of [3H] dTTP within 10 minutes is defined as one unit of enzyme activity (U).
