Description
Human Serum Albumin (HSA) is the most abundant protein in human plasma. It functions as a carrier protein for various substances such as steroids, fatty acids, and thyroid hormones, and plays a critical role in regulating plasma pH and maintaining osmotic pressure.
This product is recombinant human serum albumin (rHSA) derived from rice endosperm cells. Compared with animal-derived bovine serum albumin (BSA) or plasma-derived human serum albumin (pHSA), it contains no animal components, thereby eliminating the risk of interference from animal-derived IgG, hormones, and potential animal-borne viruses.

Applications
As a non-animal-derived protein, recombinant HSA is widely used as a substitute for bovine serum albumin (BSA). It can partially replace serum in cell culture to promote cell growth, serve as a component in enzyme reaction buffers to prevent enzyme adsorption to tube walls, and stabilize certain proteins during incubation.
It is also suitable for various immunoassays, protein quantification and detection, and for stabilizing enzymes, antigens, and antibodies in research applications.
