Description
HotStart Bst DNA/RNA Polymerase is a blend of HotStart Bst DNA polymerase and the highly thermostable ThermoStable V reverse transcriptase, which remains active at temperatures up to 65°C. This enzyme mix is well-suited for RNA-based LAMP reactions.
Compared to standard Bst DNA/RNA Polymerase, the HotStart version incorporates a heat-activated aptamer that ensures >90% inhibition of Bst activity at temperatures below 30°C, with complete activation within 1 minute at temperatures above 60°C. This feature allows for reaction setup at room temperature while significantly reducing nonspecific amplification under low-temperature conditions.
Additionally, this enzyme is formulated without glycerol, making it ideal for full-system lyophilized product manufacturing.

Storage
For long-term preservation, store below –20°C (stable for up to 2 years). The product tolerates up to 10 freeze–thaw cycles without performance loss, though repeated freeze–thawing should be avoided. Once thawed, it is recommended to store the product at 2–8°C, where it remains stable for up to 1 month.
