Description
Bst dU‑P DNA/RNA Polymerase (glycerol‑free) integrates multiple advantages, including efficient dUTP incorporation, rapid amplification, strong inhibitor tolerance, and robust activity at elevated temperatures up to 70°C. Compared with high‑performance enzymes such as Bst XT, Bst dU‑P uniquely supports 100% replacement of dTTP with dUTP in the reaction mixture. This full dUTP compatibility is essential for contamination control in LAMP workflows.
In addition, the enzyme is suitable for both DNA and RNA LAMP amplification, and all variants in this product line are hot‑start enabled.
Features
- Hot‑start aptamer control: Bst dU‑P contains a hot‑start aptamer that maintains >90% inhibition of polymerase activity below 30°C and fully releases activity within 1 minute above 60°C. This enables convenient room‑temperature reaction setup and significantly reduces nonspecific amplification at low temperatures.
- High‑temperature LAMP performance: The enzyme supports efficient LAMP amplification across 65–70°C, providing enhanced specificity and robustness.
- 100% dUTP compatibility for contamination prevention: Bst dU‑P requires no dTTP and can operate with 100% dUTP without loss of amplification speed. When used together with thermolabile UDG, it effectively prevents carryover contamination caused by aerosolized amplicons.
Unit Definition
One unit of activity is defined as the amount of enzyme required to catalyze the incorporation of 10 nmol of dNTPs into acid‑insoluble material within 30 minutes at 65°C.
Storage
Store at –20°C or below for long‑term preservation (stable for 2 years).
The product tolerates up to 20 freeze–thaw cycles without loss of performance.
