Description

GoodColor™ Prestained Color Protein Marker (10-170kD) is a collection of 10 purified pre-stained proteins ranging from 10kD to 170kD. Among them, the 15kD and 70kD bands are red, while the rest of the bands are blue. It is suitable for use as a protein molecular weight standard in SDS-PAGE or Western blotting. It is particularly useful for Western blotting, as it allows for direct and clear observation of the transfer efficiency after membrane transfer.

The product features two bright red bands (15kD and 70kD), which facilitate quick and accurate identification of protein molecular weight standards. Additionally, this product contains a red dye similar to bromophenol blue, which appears as red bands and migrates at the front during electrophoresis.

The marker provides 10 distinct bands ranging from 10kD to 170kD. The bands are well-defined, and the molecular weight range is broad, making protein molecular weight comparison convenient.

This pre-stained color protein molecular weight standard is already formulated in a 1X SDS-PAGE loading buffer. It can be used directly after melting and thorough mixing at room temperature, without the need for high-temperature heating or boiling. It is strictly prohibited to subject it to high-temperature heating or boiling.

Depending on the size of the loading wells, typically 3-5 μl of this pre-stained color protein molecular weight standard is applied per well. This allows for clear observation of protein bands during electrophoresis, after electrophoresis, or after membrane transfer.

One package of this product can be used approximately 40-65 times.

Precautions

• This pre-stained color protein molecular weight standard should not be heated or boiled at 100°C and should not be heated above 40°C. It can be used directly after melting and thorough mixing at room temperature. Boiling for 5 minutes can cause approximately 50% of the bands to degrade or lose color.
• The pre-stained color protein molecular weight standard is prepared in a 1X SDS-PAGE loading buffer and is not suitable for non-denaturing PAGE gels.
• The molecular weight of the protein standard may vary slightly between batches, which is a normal occurrence. Please refer to the accompanying manual for precise molecular weight information.
• This product is intended for scientific research purposes by professionals only and should not be used for clinical diagnosis or treatment, food, or drugs. It should not be stored in a regular household setting.
• For your safety and health, please wear appropriate laboratory attire and disposable gloves while handling this product.

Storage

Store at -20°C, valid for one year. Store at 4°C, valid for one month. Store at 37°C, valid for three days.
