Converting agarose into quick-dissolve pellet form helps prevent fine powder from being inhaled or adhering to weighing paper. By pre-mixing with TAE particles, there's no need to prepare TAE separately, making it more convenient to use. This product pre-mixes agarose and TAE quick-dissolve pellets in the right proportions, allowing you to directly prepare 1% agarose gel by simply adding the corresponding purified water. This significantly saves experiment time.

Description

Converting agarose into quick-dissolve pellet form helps prevent fine powder from being inhaled or adhering to weighing paper. By pre-mixing with TAE particles, there's no need to prepare TAE separately, making it more convenient to use. This product pre-mixes agarose and TAE quick-dissolve pellets in the right proportions, allowing you to directly prepare 1% agarose gel by simply adding the corresponding purified water. This significantly saves experiment time.

 

Components

  • Agarose With TAE (1%) : 100 Pouches

 

Protocol

Agarose Gel Preparation (Horizontal Agarose Gel Preparation as an Example):

① Take one pouch of agarose pellets, carefully add them to a triangular flask, and add 100 ml of distilled water. Cover the flask mouth with parchment paper and place it in a microwave oven for dissolution. Heat until the solution boils. After boiling, put on heat-resistant gloves, carefully shake the flask, and repeat this process several times until the agarose is completely dissolved. Note: The agarose dissolution process involves multiple brief boilings to avoid overheating and violent boiling. Ensure that the agarose is fully dissolved to prevent blurry electrophoresis images.

② Add 2 μl of 10,000× nucleic acid stain to the fully dissolved agarose. (It is recommended to use
GoodView™ Nucleic Acid Stain)

③ Pour the agarose solution into the gel casting mold and insert the combs at the appropriate positions. The gel thickness is generally between 3 to 5 mm.

④ Allow the gel to solidify at room temperature (approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour) to obtain a 1% agarose gel. It can then be used for standard electrophoresis procedures.
