Using genetically engineered yeast, we convert sugarcane-derived sugars into (−)-Ambroxan in a single fermentation step — no clary sage plantations, no petrochemical starting materials. Molecularly identical to natural ambergris
Our Ambroxan is the natural (−)-enantiomer with extremely high optical purity and requires no additional chiral resolution. Thanks to the biosynthetic pathway, it meets the industry definition of “nature-identical” under EU (EFFA) and U.S. (FEMA) guidelines, allowing clean “natural-identical” or equivalent labelling in formulations.
Far lower emissions than conventional routes
