Description

PrimPol is a DNA-mediated RNA/DNA primase/polymerase, that is, it has the activity of both primase and DNA polymerase, so it can start in vitro RNA/DNA synthesis, DNA extension, and the discontinuous synthesis of the leading strand guided by DNA modification across the dominant replication. The Tth PrimPol protein comes from Thermophilic bacterium T. Thermophilus. This protein has DNA-dependent activity to synthesize DNA Primer (Primase), and its recognition sequence is 3'- GTCC-5'. In the presence of magnesium ions, it can use ATP or dATP as the coenzyme to synthesize 7-9 nt DNA Primer. The protein is a soluble and pure product obtained by gene recombination technology.
