Description
TransEZPEI™ Transfection Reagent is an upgraded product derived from optimized and modified linear polyethylenimine (PEI). It is suitable for efficiently transfecting plasmids, RNA, and oligonucleotides into adherent or suspended cells. The application and performance of this transfection reagent are comparable to PEI MAX®-Transfection Grade Linear Polyethylenimine Hydrochloride (MW 40,000) from Polysciences, Transporter 5® Transfection Reagent, and jetPEI® and PEIpro® from Polyplus.
TransEZPEI™ is a water-soluble cationic polymer that can form complexes with negatively charged entities such as plasmids, RNA, and oligonucleotides. These complexes can adhere to the negatively charged surface of cells and enter the cells through endocytosis. Subsequently, factors such as osmotic swelling facilitate the release of plasmids, RNA, and oligonucleotides into the cytoplasm from endosomes.
The concentration of TransEZPEI™ Transfection Reagent is 1mg/ml. It is recommended to use it at a ratio of 1:5 with the amount of DNA (μg), where each milliliter of TransEZPEI™ Transfection Reagent can transfect 200μg of plasmid.
Features
- TransEZPEI™ Transfection Reagent offers high transfection efficiency, low cytotoxicity, and excellent reproducibility. It is suitable for a variety of cell lines, including HEK293, HEK293T, HEK293F, HEK293Expi, CHO-K1, COS-1, COS-7, NIH/3T3, Sf9, HepG2, and HeLa cells.
- TransEZPEI™ Transfection Reagent exhibits good compatibility, allowing cell transfection in the presence of serum and antibiotics, eliminating the need for Opti-MEM® or serum-free media.
- TransEZPEI™ Transfection Reagent is chemically synthesized and does not contain any animal-derived components (Animal origin-free, AOF).
Storage
Store at 4ºC for up to two years. For long-term storage, -20ºC is recommended.
Precaution
- Using high-purity DNA helps achieve higher transfection efficiency.
- Cells must be in good growth condition before transfection.
- While this transfection reagent allows cell transfection in the presence of serum and antibiotics, better transfection efficiency may be achieved using serum-free or low-serum (5% or less) media, antibiotic-free media, or Opti-MEM®.
- This product is intended for research purposes by professionals only and should not be used for clinical diagnosis or treatment, food, or drugs, nor stored in residential areas.
