Description

Red Dye for PAGE Stacking Gel (500X, without Migration) is a dye used to prepare the upper stacking gel in red polyacrylamide gels. This red dye allows for clear visualization of protein sample wells, facilitating sample loading and making it easy to detect whether sample wells are distorted or damaged. Importantly, this dye does not migrate during electrophoresis.

The red dye remains stably present in the upper gel (also known as concentrated gel, stacking gel, or stacking layer) and does not enter the separating gel during electrophoresis. It does not interfere with electrophoresis and staining effects. After electrophoresis, the upper gel can be easily identified and excised, facilitating subsequent experiments such as membrane transfer of the separating gel.

For a 1.0mm thick gel, approximately 2ml of the upper gel is required per gel. Following a ratio of adding 2μl of Red Dye for PAGE Stacking Gel (500X, without Migration) for every 1ml of upper gel, this red dye can be used to prepare approximately 250 gels per 1ml.
