The surface of Funcbeads™ Amino Magnetic Beads are modified with amino groups (NH2), which can covalently couple bioligands such as polypeptides, proteins, and oligonucleotides to the surface of magnetic microspheres under the action of special chemical agents (such as glutaraldehyde).
Funcbeads™ Amino Magnetic Beads are coupled to target proteins or antibodies in two ways:
- The carboxyl group (-COOH) on the protein/antibody is coupled by an amide bond.
- Amino groups (-NH2) on proteins/antibodies are coupled by glutaraldehyde (GA).
Specification
Note
- Do not centrifuge, dry, or freeze Funcbeads™ Amino Magnetic Beads. These operations may lead to the aggregation of magnetic beads and reduce the binding capacity.
- Funcbeads™ Amino Magnetic Beads should be used with corresponding magnetic separation equipment.
- Funcbeads™ Amino Magnetic Beads can be stored stably at 2-8°C with a shelf life of 2 years.
- Funcbeads™ Amino Magnetic Beads are for research use only.
