Description

Yeast RNA, also known as yeast ribonucleic acid, is the total RNA extracted from yeast.

Yeast RNA is primarily used as a substrate for studying ribonucleases, such as ribonuclease A, ribonuclease T1, and other ribonucleases.

Yeast RNA can also be used as a blocking agent in the prehybridization solution and hybridization solution during nucleic acid probe in situ hybridization to reduce non-specific binding of the probe and enhance detection sensitivity.

Yeast RNA can also be used in RNA immunoprecipitation experiments for pre-treating Protein A agarose beads, reducing non-specific binding of the beads.

Purified yeast RNA (DNase, RNase & Protease-free) (R0040) can be used as an auxiliary precipitation agent (Carrier RNA) for nucleic acids. When the nucleic acid concentration is low and difficult to precipitate, the addition of yeast RNA for co-precipitation can significantly improve the precipitation efficiency of nucleic acids.

Storage

The minimum shelf life is 1 year at 4°C and 2 years at -20°C.

• The RNA obtained from the precipitation of this product is not suitable for subsequent nucleic acid kinase detection because yeast RNA may compete with the target RNA as a substrate.
