Description

Sponge Pad for Western Blot (Filter Paper Free) is also known as the blotting sponge pad, Western-specific blotting sponge pad, WB-specific transfer sponge pad. It is a sponge pad that can be directly used for protein or nucleic acid transfer in experiments such as Western, Northern, Southern, and EMSA. This product is suitable for Bio-Rad's Mini Trans-Blot transfer cell and other similarly sized transfer cells.

This product simplifies the assembly of the transfer "sandwich structure". Starting from the cathode and moving to the anode, the layers are as follows: Western transfer sponge pad, gel, blotting membrane, sponge pad. There is no need for a foam pad or filter paper in the transfer cell.

This Western blotting sponge pad is resistant to methanol, ethanol, and other common organic reagents related to blotting. It has strong water absorption, a smooth surface, uniform texture, and good reproducibility of results. It contains no additives, does not interfere with experimental results, and does not cause distortion, deformation, or noise spots on the protein bands of the blotting membrane during transfer.

The thickness of this Western blotting sponge pad is approximately 5mm. It is pre-cut to 8cm x 9.6cm, eliminating the need for self-cutting, making it more convenient to use.

The recommended quantity for transfer is one piece on each side.

Storage

Store at room temperature, valid for two years.

Precautions

• To prevent cross-contamination, it is recommended to use this product only once.
• If you need to reuse it, wash the product thoroughly with distilled or ultrapure water and let it air dry. Drying in an oven is preferable. However, reusing may affect the transfer results. When reusing, if you find that the transfer effect has deteriorated, or the product is damaged or noticeably thinner, please replace it with a new sponge pad promptly.
• This product is intended for scientific research by professionals only and should not be used for clinical diagnosis or treatment, nor for food or drugs. It should not be stored in regular residential areas.
• For your safety and health, please wear a lab coat and use disposable gloves when handling.
