The red blood cell lysis solution selectively lyses red blood cells, followed by a unique lysis solution/β-mercaptoethanol that rapidly lyses white blood cells and inactivates cellular RNA enzymes. After adjusting the binding conditions with ethanol, RNA selectively adsorbs to the silica matrix membrane inside the centrifuge column under high salt conditions. Through a series of rapid wash-centrifugation steps, the protein removal solution and wash solution remove cell metabolites, proteins, and other impurities. Finally, pure RNA is eluted from the silica matrix membrane using low salt RNase-free H2O.

Description

The red blood cell lysis solution selectively lyses red blood cells, followed by a unique lysis solution/β-mercaptoethanol that rapidly lyses white blood cells and inactivates cellular RNA enzymes. Features

  • The silica matrix membrane inside the centrifuge adsorption column is exclusively sourced from world-renowned companies, ensuring minimal variability in adsorption capacity between columns and good repeatability. This overcomes the issue of inconsistent membrane quality often seen in regular kits.
  • There's no need to use toxic reagents like phenol and chloroform, nor is there a need for steps like ethanol precipitation.
  • The red blood cell lysis solution has been repeatedly optimized, resulting in rapid and complete lysis.
  • The process is fast and straightforward; a single sample operation can generally be completed within 40 minutes.
  • Multiple column washes ensure high purity, with a typical OD260/OD280 ratio ranging from 1.9 to 2.0. Virtually no DNA residues remain, making it suitable for RT-PCR, Northern-blot, and various experiments.

 

Storage

This kit can be stored at room temperature for 12 months without affecting its performance.
