Quick microRNA Extraction Kit for Fixed Embedded Tissues

This kit is designed for the rapid extraction of RNA, including microRNA, from formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue samples. The unique lysis solution/proteinase K quickly breaks down cells to release RNA. The lysate is then passed through a genomic DNA removal column, where the genomic DNA is removed and the RNA is selectively filtered. After adjusting the conditions with ethanol, the RNA selectively binds to the silica membrane inside the centrifuge column under high salt conditions. Through a series of quick wash-centrifuge steps, protease and wash solutions remove cellular metabolites, proteins, and other impurities. Finally, the purified RNA is eluted from the silica membrane using low-salt RNase-free H2O. The obtained RNA is suitable for experiments such as reverse transcription PCR and fluorescence quantitative PCR.

Features

  • Does not use toxic chemicals like phenol, chloroform, etc., and there's no need for ethanol precipitation steps.
  • Quick and efficient, the extraction of RNA from a single sample can generally be completed within 1 hour.
  • The kit's exclusive genomic clearance column and formulation ensure effective removal of genomic DNA residues. In most cases, the obtained RNA does not require DNase digestion and can be used directly for experiments such as reverse transcription PCR and fluorescence quantitative PCR.
  • Multiple column washes ensure high purity of RNA, making it suitable for a variety of downstream experiments.

 

Storage

This kit can be stored at room temperature for 9 months without affecting its performance.
