Description

PBS is a white quick-dissolve pellet. Each pouch of PBS quick-dissolve pellets can be used to prepare 1 L of 1× PBS buffer, making it easy and convenient to use. The primary components of PBS include sodium chloride, potassium chloride, and phosphate. In 1× PBS buffer, the concentration of sodium chloride is 137 mM, potassium chloride is 2.7 mM, and phosphate is 10 mM.

PBS is a widely used buffer in biology and can be employed in immunological assays, microbiological experiments, protein biochemistry experiments, and more. PBS buffer prepared using PBS quick-dissolve pellets, after being treated with a 0.22 μm sterile filter, can be used in cell culture, washing, and related experiments.

Components

• PBS: 100 Pouches (100×1L)

Protocol

1. Measure approximately 600 ml of distilled water and add it to a beaker. Place a magnetic stir bar inside the beaker.
2. Position the beaker on a magnetic stirrer and slowly add the entire contents of one pouch of PBS quick-dissolve pellets. Stir the solution until it is completely dissolved.
3. Add distilled water to the PBS solution from step 2, bringing it to a final volume of 1 L, making it 1× concentration.
