Mouse Cot-1 DNA (500 μg)

Mouse Cot-1 DNA (500 μg)

$280.00
$350.00
Mouse Cot‑1 DNA is extracted from mouse liver and consists primarily of fragments ranging from 50 to 300 bp. It is highly enriched in repetitive DNA sequences, including members of the B1, B2, and L1 families. Mouse Cot‑1 DNA is commonly used to block nonspecific hybridization in microarray screening. It can also suppress hybridization of rodent repetitive sequences during in situ hybridization or Southern blot mapping of rodent clones, and it is useful for identifying mouse-derived clones in somatic cell hybrid library screening involving mouse–hamster hybrid cells.

Description

Applications

Mouse Cot‑1 DNA is widely used in:

  • Northern blotting
  • Southern blotting
  • In situ hybridization, including tissue ISH, somatic cell ISH, and FISH
  • Liquid-phase hybridization capture

In addition, Mouse Cot‑1 DNA can serve as a library screening probe for identifying clones in somatic cell hybrid libraries or in flow‑sorted chromosome libraries derived from somatic cell hybrids.

Product Advantages

Exceptional Blocking Performance

  • Utilizes a proprietary fragmentation process to ensure that ≥50% of DNA fragments fall within the 50–300 bp range.
  • Achieves blocking efficiency of over 95%, significantly outperforming comparable products.
