Glucose Oxidase (GOD), produced through genetic engineering of the glucose oxidase gene from Aspergillus niger in recombinant Saccharomyces cerevisiae, is a yellow lyophilized powder. It is free from animal-derived components.
In terms of functionality, GOD exhibits high specificity in converting β-D-glucose, while having low efficiency towards other monosaccharides. It demonstrates fast oxygen removal, excellent thermal stability, and does not generate precipitates or turbidity after reactions.
