Description
Exosome Extraction Enhancer, also known as Exosome Anti-adsorption Reagent, Extracellular Vesicle Blocking Reagent, or Extracellular Vesicle Preservation Stabilizer, is an efficient and convenient reagent used to significantly improve the extraction efficiency of exosomes from cell culture supernatants or other sample sources.
Exosomes are membrane-bound extracellular vesicles (EVs) with diameters of approximately 40-160 nm, featuring a lipid bilayer structure. They naturally exist in blood, urine, cerebrospinal fluid, and the supernatant of cultured cells. Almost all types of cells can produce and release exosomes. The process begins with endocytosis, forming early sorting endosomes (ESE), which mature into late sorting endosomes (LSE), and subsequently into multivesicular bodies (MVB). MVBs contain intraluminal vesicles (ILVs). When MVBs fuse with the cell membrane, they release exosomes, which carry various components from their parent cells, including nucleic acids, proteins, lipids, carbohydrates, and metabolites, into the extracellular matrix. Exosomes can be recognized and fused by nearby or distant cells, serving as important mediators of intercellular regulation. They play roles in the pathogenesis of various diseases, including cancer, neurodegenerative diseases, and inflammatory diseases, affecting multiple cellular functions.
Features
- This product can significantly improve the extraction rate of exosomes. During the exosome isolation and extraction process, functional groups, hydrophilic or hydrophobic groups, and surface charges on the surfaces of consumable materials such as centrifuge tubes and pipette tips can adsorb exosomes, leading to substantial loss. This product contains special high molecular weight polymers that form a barrier between exosomes and the surfaces of consumable materials, reducing the adsorption of exosomes to these materials. This minimizes the loss of exosomes during the separation and extraction process, thereby increasing the exosome extraction rate. Additionally, some interactions between this reagent and exosomes may enhance the separation and purification efficiency of exosomes.
- This product is convenient to use and has a wide range of applications. It is a ready-to-use reagent; simply add an appropriate amount of this product to the sample at a ratio of 500:1 (sample to reagent). It can be used not only during the exosome isolation and extraction process but also for exosome preservation.
- This product is free of RNase, DNase, and protease. Exosomes extracted using this product in combination with Exosome Isolation Kit from Cell Culture Media (Precipitation Method) can be used for various applications involving RNA, DNA, and proteins.

Store at 4°C, valid for one year.
Precautions
- The effectiveness of this product may be affected when extracting exosomes from serum, plasma, or samples with high levels of impurities.
- This product contains special polymers that may partially remain on the exosomes. If the polymers might affect subsequent experimental uses, do not use this product.
- If the product is left at room temperature for too long, precipitation may occur. Before use, heat in a 45°C water bath until completely dissolved.
- This product is for scientific research by professionals only and is not to be used for clinical diagnosis or treatment, food, or drugs. Do not store in a residential area.
