Description

The 10X OptiCleave™ Buffer, manufactured by SBS Genetech, is a buffer solution that enables 100% activity for over 200 different restriction endonucleases. By using OptiCleave™ Buffer, the hassle of selecting a buffer for restriction enzyme digestion is eliminated, especially when performing double enzyme digests, making the process simpler and more convenient. Additionally, many DNA modification enzymes retain 100% activity in OptiCleave™ Buffer, eliminating the need for DNA purification after enzyme digestion when performing DNA modification enzyme treatments.

For the activity of various restriction endonucleases and modification enzymes in 1X OptiCleave™ Buffer, please refer to Appendix 1 and Appendix 2 (in Instructions for use). The compatibility of different sources of restriction endonucleases with OptiCleave™ Buffer may vary slightly.

The components of 1X OptiCleave™ Buffer are 50 mM potassium acetate, 20 mM Tris-acetate, 10 mM magnesium acetate, 100 μg/ml BSA, pH 7.9 @ 25°C, which is identical to NEB's CutSmart™ Buffer.

One package of this product, when used in a 20 μl restriction digestion reaction system, can be used for a total of 2500 digestion reactions.
