Human ADH1B and ALDH2 Alcohol Metabolism Genotyping Kit

When alcohol (ethanol) enters the human body, it is first converted into acetaldehyde by alcohol dehydrogenase (encoded by the ADH1 gene). Acetaldehyde is then further metabolized into acetic acid by aldehyde dehydrogenase (encoded by the ALDH2 gene).
