Description

Escherichia coli (E. coli), a representative bacterium of the genus Escherichia, is generally non-pathogenic and resides as a common microorganism in the intestines of humans and animals. However, under certain conditions, it can cause extraintestinal infections. Some serotypes of E. coli are highly pathogenic and cause diarrhea. These are collectively referred to as pathogenic E. coli, also known as diarrheagenic E. coli. Depending on their pathogenicity, these diarrheagenic E. coli are categorized into five types.

Detecting pathogenic and non-pathogenic E. coli is an important safety measure in the food industry, including drinking water. Therefore, the rapid and accurate identification of both types of E. coli plays a vital role in ensuring safety. To address this need, our company has developed a simple and efficient dual-dye LAMP detection kit for E. coli, which offers the following features:

• Ready-to-use: users only need to provide DNA samples.
• Isothermal amplification: no need for expensive equipment like fluorescent PCR machines.
• Contains ccolorimetric and fluorescent dyes: results can be visually determined with the naked eye using a metal bath or water bath, or detected in real-time using a fluorescent PCR machine.
• High sensitivity: generally, sensitivity is more than ten times that of PCR.
• High specificity: designed with four specific primers based on the pathogen's conserved sequence, avoiding cross-reactions with other organisms' DNA.
• Rapid results: typically within 30 minutes, faster than PCR.
• High sample volume: for a 20 μL reaction system, the maximum sample addition volume is up to 14 μL.
• Cross-contamination prevention: contains dUTP-UNG.
• Non-infectious positive control provided: facilitates analysis of experimental results.
• For qualitative analysis only: not recommended for quantitative analysis.
• Sufficient for 50 reactions in a 20 μL system for fluorescent and colorimetric LAMP amplification.
• For research use only.
