Description
NHS Agarose Magnetic Beads (10-30 μm) is a porous microsphere based on natural hydrophilic polymer agarose, available in two particle sizes: 30-150 μm and 10-30 μm. The surface of these magnetic beads is modified with NHS groups, which can form stable peptide bonds with primary amine groups on proteins and other molecules. These beads are used for affinity purification or analytical detection of antibodies, antigens, and other biomolecules.
Unlike traditional carboxyl or amino magnetic beads, NHS group-modified beads do not require prior activation with EDC/NHS or glutaraldehyde. Simply dissolve the primary amine-containing bioligand in the coupling buffer, mix the protein solution with NHS beads at room temperature for 1-2 hours to covalently couple the bioligand to the beads. This process is simple, mild, and allows for rapid and efficient coupling of bioligands.
Features
- Simple: No activation needed, can directly covalently couple with bioligands.
- Efficient: Bioligand coupling efficiency exceeds 90%, much higher than carboxyl magnetic beads, with greater ligand binding capacity.
- Fast: Bioligand coupling completed in 1-2 hours.
- Mild: Coupling at room temperature or 4℃, pH 5-9 in the coupling system.
- Stable: Forms stable amide bonds to prevent ligand detachment.
- Good Biocompatibility: Reduces non-specific adsorption.
Applications
- In vitro diagnostics
- Immunodetection
- Cell sorting
- Immunoprecipitation/co-immunoprecipitation
