Human ORF Gene Cloning Service

The SBS Genetech Human Open Reading Frame (ORF) Library comprises approximately 15,000 human ORF clones, including around 12,000 well‑annotated genes. Each ORF represents the protein‑coding region between the start and stop codons, excluding the 5' and 3' untranslated regions (UTRs). All clones are generated by reverse‑transcribing mRNA into cDNA followed by Gateway BP recombination into the pDONR223 entry vector, and are intentionally provided without a stop codon to support flexible downstream tagging and expression. Using Gateway LR reactions or PCR‑based cloning, researchers can readily transfer any ORF into a wide range of expression vectors. Through the Human ORF Gene Cloning Service, SBS Genetech offers rapid amplification and sequence‑verified preparation of any clone from the library within 3–5 business days, with optional services including custom subcloning into user‑specified vectors and large‑scale plasmid preparation.
