In Vitro Study

trans-cinnamaldehyde -β-cyclodextrin complex against Salmonella spp. and Lis-teria spp. with minimum inhibitory concentrations ranging from 10 to 20 mg/mL, respectively.

 

In Vivo Study

Cinnamic aldehyde exhibits excellent anti-inflammatory activities and antidepressant-like effects in stressed mid-aged rats as a COX-2 inhibitor. Cinnamic aldehyde and cinnamic acid are cardioprotective in a rat model of ischemic myocardial injury, the mechanism is related to anti-oxidative and anti-inflammatory properties.

Storage

Store at -20°C for at least one year. The solid powder is stable at 4°C for at least one month. If dissolved in a non-DMSO solvent, it is recommended to aliquot and store at -80°C for up to six months.
