Thermostable Tte UvrD Helicase is derived from thermotolerant bacteria Thermoanaerobacter tengcongensis UvrD gene. The helicase has the ability to unwind DNA from 3' end to 5' end under heat-stable conditions. In thermophilic Helicase-Dependent Amplification (tHDA), the enzyme can assist the polymerase in unwinding and complete isothermal amplification. The enzyme can withstand 65°C and can be used for isothermal amplification independent of the single-stranded binding protein.
