Description
RNA Stabilization Reagent for Animal Tissue is a non-toxic and harmless liquid reagent used for the collection of animal tissue. It rapidly inhibits RNase and stabilizes RNA in tissue samples at room temperature, with no need for special handling conditions. This product is widely used for the stable preservation of RNA in fresh animal tissue or cell samples.
Advantages
- This product has a wide range of applications. It can be used for stabilizing and preserving RNA in various animal tissue samples, such as liver, brain, lung, spleen, kidney, heart, muscle, bone tissue, and others. It is also suitable for preserving cultured cells, fungi, bacteria, blood, and certain plant samples.
- The effectiveness of this product is comparable to that of liquid nitrogen freezing. It rapidly penetrates into the tissues, completely inhibits RNase, prevents RNA degradation, and preserves the integrity of RNA in the tissue samples, thus perfectly maintaining the gene expression profile in the tissues. Like liquid nitrogen, it allows long-term preservation of RNA in the samples.
- This product is safe and convenient. It is non-toxic and non-irritating, allowing for room temperature usage, ensuring safety and convenience during application. Compared to using liquid nitrogen, it effectively avoids potential safety hazards like frostbite and centrifuge tube rupture caused by ultra-low temperatures of liquid nitrogen. Additionally, it is easy to carry and transport.
This product is suitable for stabilizing and preserving RNA in regular fresh tissue or cell samples. It is especially suitable for situations where RNA extraction (including small RNA such as miRNA) cannot be performed immediately after sample collection. It is particularly applicable to samples collected in the field or in clinical settings, large-scale collection of animal tissue samples, and situations where immediate freezing of samples is not possible for RNA stabilization and preservation.
The storage time and temperature of samples using this product are related; for example, at 37°C, samples can be stored for 1-2 days, at 25°C for one week, at 4°C for one month, and at -20°C for 3-5 years.
Using this product, samples stored at -20°C or -80°C can undergo 3-5 freeze-thaw cycles without significantly affecting the quality of RNA. Under normal circumstances, it is recommended to transport or store samples preserved with this product at room temperature or 4°C for short-term storage and at -20°C or -80°C for long-term storage. If long-term storage at -20°C or -80°C is desired, the samples must first be stored at 4°C overnight or for a longer period before transferring to the lower temperature storage.
This product can also be used for stabilizing and preserving proteins and DNA in tissues. However, this product may cause protein denaturation, making it suitable for subsequent experiments like Western Blot and SDS-PAGE. It is not suitable for experiments that require maintaining protein activity, such as enzyme activity assays. If preserving protein enzymatic activity is required, you can choose Nucleic Acid and Protein Stabilization Reagent for Animal Tissue. After removing the samples from this product, they can be directly used as fresh or frozen samples for protein extraction using conventional methods.
Storage
Store at room temperature or 4°C, valid for two years.
Precaution
- After appropriately processing the obtained tissue samples, they should be rapidly and completely immersed in this product.
- This product is suitable for stabilizing and preserving RNA in fresh animal tissue or cell samples. The preservation effect of samples that have been frozen and then stored with this product will be much worse than directly using this product to preserve fresh samples. Although this product has some stabilizing effect on frozen samples, it is more suitable for fresh samples.
- After preservation with this product, the samples may become slightly firm, which is a normal phenomenon and will not affect subsequent operations such as tissue homogenization and lysis during RNA extraction.
- If the samples need to be stored at -20°C or -80°C for long-term storage, they should be stored at 4°C overnight or for a longer time before transferring to -20°C or -80°C to ensure that this product fully and effectively penetrates into the tissues.
- During storage at -20°C or -80°C, crystallization may occur in this product when thawing the samples. This is normal, and the product can be used after the crystals have completely dissolved, without affecting the subsequent RNA extraction results.
- For white blood cell samples obtained through routine methods, follow the instructions for preserving cell samples.
- When using this product to preserve plant samples, the surface wax should be removed to ensure that the product can fully penetrate into the tissues.
- This product is intended for scientific research by professionals only and is not to be used for clinical diagnosis or treatment, food, or drugs. It must not be stored in residential homes.
- For your safety and health, please wear a lab coat and disposable gloves while handling.
Only for research and not intended for treatment of humans or animals
