Description
This reagent is used to measure the concentration of plasmin-α2-antiplasmin complex (PIC) in human plasma. α2-antiplasmin, primarily synthesized by the liver, is a single-chain glycoprotein and a specific inhibitor of plasmin. It has a limited inhibitory effect on plasmin and inhibits the binding of plasminogen to fibrin, thereby preventing the degradation of fibrin by antiplasmin. PIC is normally present in very low levels in plasma, and an elevation in this indicator suggests the generation of plasmin.
Principal
PIC in the sample binds to the PIC antibody in reagent R1, followed by binding to the PIC antibody in reagent R2, forming an antibody-antigen-antibody complex. The complex generates a luminescent signal through the aminoluciferin label on the PIC antibody in reagent R2. The intensity of the luminescent signal is directly proportional to the concentration of PIC in the sample within a certain range. By measuring the intensity value and referring to the calibration curve, the PIC content in plasma can be calculated.
Storage
Store in a tightly closed, light-protected container at 2-8°C. Shelf life is 12 months. Once opened, it remains stable for 30 days.
