Description
This kit uses a sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) based on highly specific monoclonal antibodies to measure insulin. The microplate is pre-coated with monoclonal antibodies for capturing the antigen. During the assay, horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-labeled detection antibodies are first added to the microplate, followed by the addition of standards or samples to be tested. After washing, TMB substrate is added, which reacts with HRP to produce a color change. The intensity of the color is directly proportional to the insulin concentration in the sample. After stopping the reaction, the absorbance is measured at a wavelength of 450 nm, and the insulin concentration in the sample is calculated based on the standard curve.
Specifications
Detection range: 3-100 µIU/ml; suitable for monkey samples
Advantage
- High-specificity monoclonal antibodies with high sensitivity. The use of HRP directly labeled detection monoclonal antibodies allows for one-step operation, making the experiment simple and time-saving.
- Ultra-micro blood sampling, with a sample volume as low as 5 µL.
- Suitable for glucose-stimulated insulin secretion (GSIS) assays, oral glucose tolerance tests (OGTT), and intraperitoneal insulin tolerance tests (IPITT).
- A full range of insulin kits is available for mice, rats, humans, pigs, dogs, horses, cats, sheep, and monkeys.
Storage
Store at 2~8°C. When the kit is unopened, it can be stored at 2~8°C for 12 months, avoiding light exposure.
Only for research and not intended for treatment of humans or animals
