Signaling Pathway
Apoptosis |
In Vitro Study
Hesperidin (5-200 µM; 24-72 h) exhibits potent cytotoxic effects on human osteosarcoma MG-63 cells. Treatment with Hesperidin (5-150 µM; 48 h) induces both early and late apoptosis in MG-63 cells. In RAW 264.7 cells activated with LPS, Hesperidin (10-30 µM) dose-dependently inhibits the activity of COX-2 and iNOS. Moreover, Hesperidin (0.1 μg/ml; 2 h) reduces the formation of MDA and intracellular ROS, thereby decreasing chondrocyte apoptosis.
In Vivo Study
Hesperidin (5-80 mg/kg; 2 weeks) demonstrates significant suppression of MG-63 tumor growth in mice. Additionally, Hesperidin (200 mg/kg; once daily for 28 days) markedly attenuates cartilage destruction and reduces IL-1β and TNF-α levels in rats with surgically-induced osteoarthritis (OA).
Clinical Trial
NCT04358497: Pelvic Congestive Syndrome|Pelvic Varices|Venous Disease, Phase 4; NCT03471910: Venous Insufficiency, Phase 4.
