DNA-Free Sau DNA polymerase (Large Fragment), derived from Staphylococcus aureus, lacks the first 293 amino acids of the Staphylococcus aureus DNA polymerase Sau PolI gene. This enzyme retains the 5´-3´ polymerase activity of Sau PolI but lacks both 5´-3´ and 3´-5´ exonuclease activities, making it suitable for recombinase amplification.

Our DNA-Free Sau DNA polymerase (Large Fragment) is a recombinant protein and purified through multiple steps, devoid of genomic and plasmid DNA from the production strain.

Unit Definition

One unit of activity is defined as the amount of enzyme required to incorporate 10 nmol dNTP into acid-insoluble material within 30 minutes at 37℃ in 1× Sau Buffer reaction conditions.
