B27 Supplement (50X, Minus Antioxidants), also known as B27 Serum-Free Supplement (Minus Antioxidants), B-27 Supplement (Minus AO), B-27 Supplement Minus AO, B27 Additive (Minus Antioxidants), or B27 Serum-Free Additive (without Antioxidants), is an optimized neuronal cell culture supplement derived from the complete B27 Supplement but with five antioxidants (Vitamin E, α-tocopherol acetate, superoxide dismutase, catalase, and glutathione) removed. It is widely used to support the growth and differentiation of hippocampal neurons and other central nervous system (CNS) neurons, maintaining their short-term or long-term viability. B27 Supplement (50X, Minus Antioxidants) is an ideal choice for studying free radicals and oxidative stress in neuronal cells.
B27 Supplement (50X, Minus Antioxidants) is provided in a 50X liquid form and is compatible with Neurobasal and Neurobasal-A media for normal neuronal cell culture, growth, and differentiation without the need for an astrocyte feeder layer.
This product, B27 Supplement (50X, Minus Antioxidants), undergoes strict quality control and sterile filtration. It is serum-free and composed of high-quality components and various cytokines involved in neuronal survival, synapse maturation, and neurite extension. It does not contain antioxidants but maintains high quality, enabling efficient culture of various types of neurons and enhancing their survival in long-term culture conditions.

Storage
Store at -20ºC, with a shelf life of two years.
Precautions
- This product has been sterile-filtered. Aseptic techniques should be followed during use to prevent contamination.
- If the product becomes cloudy or shows signs of precipitation, discontinue use immediately. Check whether contamination occurred during use or storage, and take precautions to prevent future contamination.
- Based on experimental needs, it is recommended to aliquot and freeze the product to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, which may affect its performance.
- This product does not contain antioxidants. If the five antioxidants (Vitamin E, α-tocopherol acetate, superoxide dismutase, catalase, and glutathione) are added, its performance will be identical to B27 Supplement (50X, Serum-free).
- L-Ala-Gln and L-Gln can be purchased from us.
