Description
DNA recombination technology allows for the addition of specific tags to target proteins, and the expressed fusion proteins can then be detected using tag-specific antibodies, greatly facilitating scientific research. Common protein tags include Myc, HA, Flag, His, and GST, among which the Myc tag has a small molecular weight and has minimal impact on the activity and intracellular localization of the fusion protein.
This Myc antibody is generated against the epitope corresponding to amino acids 408-439 at the C-terminus of the human c-Myc protein.
Our Myc antibody can detect Myc tags located at the C-terminus of fusion proteins. It is widely used for studying the expression, intracellular localization, as well as the purification, qualitative, or quantitative analysis of Myc-tagged fusion proteins. Additionally, this antibody can also detect c-Myc p67 from humans, mice, rats, monkeys, felines, and canines, but it cannot detect N-Myc or L-Myc proteins.
