Description
DNA recombination technology allows for the addition of specific tags to target proteins, and the expressed fusion proteins can then be detected using tag-specific antibodies, greatly facilitating scientific research. Common protein tags include Myc, HA, Flag, His, and GST.
The GST tag (glutathione S-transferase tag) is derived from Schistosoma japonicum (Japanese liver fluke) and has a molecular weight of approximately 26 kDa. It is one of the most commonly used tags for protein purification.
Our GST antibody can detect GST tags located at the N-terminus or C-terminus of fusion proteins. It is used for qualitative or quantitative analysis of GST-tagged fusion protein expression.
