Description

AMPPD is a chemiluminescent substrate for alkaline phosphatase. In a suitable buffer solution, as the enzyme catalyzes the hydrolysis, AMPPD decomposes into AMP-D, which emits a very strong light signal. The speed of luminescence depends on the concentration of alkaline phosphatase. When alkaline phosphatase is coupled to a hybridized probe, the presence of hybridized molecules can be detected through this system.
