This kit is designed for the rapid extraction and separation of genomic DNA and RNA, including miRNA, from the same animal cell or tissue sample. If additional miRNA adsorption columns and accompanying solutions are purchased, total RNA and miRNA can also be separated, extracted, and enriched from the same sample. The unique lysis solution quickly lysates the cells and inactivates cell RNA/DNA enzymes. The lysate mixture of RNA/miRNA/DNA then passes through a genomic DNA adsorption column, with the genomic DNA being adsorbed while the miRNA/RNA is filtered through. The genomic DNA on the DNA adsorption column is purified through a series of wash and centrifugation steps. The filtered miRNA/RNA, after being conditioned with ethanol, selectively binds to the miRNA/RNA adsorption column in a high salt condition and is purified through another series of quick wash and centrifugation steps.
Based on the phenol-free and chloroform-free DNA/RNA rapid extraction technology combined with our exclusive separation technique, the obtained miRNA/RNA and genomic DNA are of high purity and do not interfere with each other. The extracted miRNA/RNA does not require DNase digestion and can be used directly for reverse transcription PCR, fluorescence quantitative PCR, and other experiments. The genomic DNA can also be directly used for downstream experiments like Southern blotting, enzyme digestion, PCR, and various other tests.
Completely avoids the use of toxic reagents such as phenol and chloroform, and there's no need for ethanol precipitation steps.
Quick and straightforward, the separation operation for miRNA/RNA/genomic DNA from a single sample can generally be completed within 40 minutes.
The exclusive adsorption column and formula ensure the effective removal of residual genomic DNA. In most cases, the obtained miRNA/RNA does not require DNase digestion and can be used directly for reverse transcription PCR, fluorescence quantitative PCR, and other experiments.
Multiple column washes ensure the high purity of miRNA/RNA/genomic DNA, making it suitable for various downstream experiments directly.
This kit can be stored at room temperature for 12 months without affecting its performance.
